Are you using Instagram to grow your business?

Do you want to improve your results with the help of Instagram ads?

Facebook recently rolling out the Instagram ads platform to all ads accounts. This is now available in the Facebook Power Editor dashboard.

In this article, I’ll show you exactly how you can advertise on Instagram.

First you will need to connect your Facebook page to your Instagram account.

On your business Facebook page, click on Settings at the top of the page. Within Settings, you will see “Instagram Ads” on the left-hand side. In order to get started, you will need to click on this tab and connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page.

You will need to click on this tab and connect your Instagram account to your Facebook page.

Log into your Ads Manager account on Facebook.

You will need to download Power Editor in order to create your Instagram advertisement.

Note: Make sure you are using Google Chrome, since this is the only browser the Power Editor Tool works on.

Click the Manage Ads tab at the top of the page on the left. You will see an option right underneath that to “Create Campaign.”

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image admin_label=”Image” src=”https://the-social-media-concierge.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/instagram2.jpg” show_in_lightbox=”off” url_new_window=”off” animation=”left” sticky=”off” align=”left” force_fullwidth=”off” always_center_on_mobile=”on” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” /][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

Make sure you choose a campaign that is compatible with Instagram, which would include Clicks to Website, Mobile App Installs and Video Views.

You need to take the following steps:

  • Create new campaign
  • Create new ad set
  • Create new ad

In Ad Sets, you can set your budget, ad schedule, audience (for targeting purposes) and placement. Placement is where you will see the option to choose Instagram advertising. Make sure you select “Instagram Advertising” and deselect the other options.

You will then have the option to select which type of mobile device to deliver your ad to.

Instagram recommends serving the ad based on link clicks to website.

When you create the new ad select the Facebook page you want to use (make sure it’s the page you just linked to your Instagram account).

Now click on the highlighted text detailed in screenshot below.

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_image admin_label=”Image” src=”https://the-social-media-concierge.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/instagram3.jpg” show_in_lightbox=”off” url_new_window=”off” animation=”left” sticky=”off” align=”left” force_fullwidth=”off” always_center_on_mobile=”on” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” /][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left” use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid”]

Now complete the ads creative. URL, headline, ad copy. Make sure its compelling with an eyecatching graphic. Since Instagram is a photo-sharing app, visually appealing imagery can increase your click-through rate and lower your conversion cost.

  • Recommended image size: 1200 × 628 pixels
  • Image ratio: 1.91:1
  • Your image may not include more than 20% text.

Add a call to action. Check out my screenshot below for your options.
