If you are serious about getting the best out of your Facebook Ad campaigns you will be utilising the Power Editor function.

You can use more characters in the headline and text. In the Ads Manager, you’re limited to a headline of 25 characters and text of 90 characters.

Firstly I’m going to create what is called a dark post. This won’t be seen on your business page (useful for split testing purposes so as not to annoy your followers).

Here’s the difference using the Power Editor. As you can see you lose the character limits and can be more descriptive with your headlines and ad copy (I recommend split testing various versions of this to see what works best).

In Power Editor, you can customize your Display URL area. Use this area to tell them when a deal ends or what the benefits of your product are. You could also call attention to your call to action here “sign up today for 50% discount”

Carousel Ads

Carousel ads are set up directly in Power Editor and can display up to five products. This involves more than simply selecting different images for your ad because each ad can be sent to a unique website where the product is displayed. Each ad also has its own description and headline.

You can use this to highlight the top features of your product or promote up to five different products as you can link each picture to a different URL. Useful if you have a tiered membership option for instance.
